2019 marked the year of Hikuai Schools first ever Hunting Competition. This school fundraiser had entries from all around the Waikato with over 125 kids and 100 adults taking part. The organisers did an impressive job securing some incredible prizes and each child received a prize on the day.

Hunters enjoyed a fantastic feast of lamb on the spit, roast chicken, wild pork and a tasty array of salads and accompaniments. Children enjoyed a beef sausage sizzle and a lolly scramble. 

It was a fabulous community event that we hope to hold on a yearly basis. Thanks to all our sponsors for making it such an awesome event. 

Unfortunately the 2020 Hikuai Pig Hunting Competition had to be postponed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The event will be back in 2021. Keep an eye on the 'Hikuai School Pig Hunting Comp' Facebook Page for more regular updates.
